The Mansion is located on the corner of the Hoogstraat and the Rasphuisstraat in Ghent, a lively neighbourhood with numerous restaurants in all genres.
From the Hoogstraat, it is only a 10-minute walk to the Graslei, the historical heart of Ghent.

In The Mansion you will spend the night in a historic building, in one of the 19 stylishly furnished rooms. From a tiny room to duplex studios, there is something for everyone. All rooms are equipped with Belgian five-star king-size beds, free wifi, some rooms have air conditioning, Netflix and an Apple TV.

Heirloom is a self-hosting hotel. This means that you virtually check in and out. No reception, no physical contact, no time wasted on paperwork. Fast and efficient! Shortly before your arrival you will receive a code to open the front door and your own room door.
If you do need us for any reason, our virtual butler is at your service 24 hours a day via numerous communication channels such as Whatsapp, SMS, Instagram, Viber, Facebook Messenger, e-mail and telephone.
ROOMS & SUITES
For the history of The Mansion we go back to the 19th century. The land was originally bought by Hippolyte Leopold Heughebaert in 1892. He commissioned the architect Masereel to build a house for his family: The Mansion.
The building is erected in neoclassical style. You notice this immediately on the facade and in the hall with the dramatic support beams and details. The details on the walls and ceilings were only added after Hippolyte's death by the new owners. The building was then embellished with wall and ceiling paintings. These are still in their original state and show many important art forms.

LOW EMISSION ZONE

Since 2020, Ghent is located in a Low Emission Zone. This means that older cars with high emissions are banned from the city centre in order to improve the air quality in the city. Check here whether your car meets the standards.
PARKING OPTIONS
​
The underground car park Ramen is just around the corner and costs about €16/24h.
You can park in the street, but pay attention to the colour zones. If you choose an orange zone, it will cost you €6/24h. The red zone is a lot more expensive - €10/3h.
Free or much cheaper parking is available at Park & Ride locations on the outskirts of the city. You can then easily travel to The Mansion by public transport.
